Instrument Naming Conventions


Instruments

Instruments are groups of chords. You select chord types you want by picking the appropriate instrument. For example, if you wanted just Major and Minor chords you'd select the folder "Major/Minor". Within that folder are more selections, allowing you to pick from full memory and lite versions and alternate samples (to build a bank with a true "doubled" guitar). There are also instruments that include specially equalized (EQ'ed) samples. In addition, the instruments can also offer alternate mapping or sample selection. For example, there are instruments that use the Pitch Wheel to select between sample groups.

Default
if not otherwise noted, instruments include both down and up strokes.

Downs
only down stroke strums. Used along with "ups" in a bank to separately control volumes of down strokes and up strokes.

Ups
only up stroke strums. Used along with "downs" in a bank to separately control volumes of down strokes and up strokes.

Sample group access

Default (no suffix)
Sustain Pedal controlled (sus pedal down selects other samples)

PW
Pitch Wheel selects between sample groups

PD&MW
Mod Wheel on changes effect of sus pedal down. (example: mod wheel off, pedal selects minor chords, mod wheel on: pedal selects sus chords.)

PD&PW
Pitch wheel selects between sample groups. Sus pedal also selects between groups.
